Some markets cannot be reached from the database. The buying signal is an absence, enrichment returns nothing, and the identity layer has to be built underneath the tools.
On track
- Built a payment-processor detection scan over 2,932 YC companies with cost and distribution predictions registered before the run, landing within five rows of the estimate.
- Gave Clay a memory it does not have: a Supabase snapshot layer that turns a vendor appearing in a stack into an event with a date attached.
- Cut the pool into segments, hand-checked 30 accounts against the segment's own claim, and renamed the segment when the name asserted more than the scan observed.
- Sent 12 fully personalized, signed emails with an automated reply loop landing responses back in Clay in under 60 seconds.
Result
Finished Cohort 3 of the program in September 2026. Clay Cohorts issues the diploma and hosts the verification page, so the credential can be checked at the source rather than taken on trust. The full arc, failures included, is documented stage by stage in the Special Stage pavilion.
